What is cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry addresses the appearance of your smile — colour, shape, size, alignment, and the proportions between teeth and face. At Studio Marcato we take a conservative approach: we improve what bothers you while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.
A good cosmetic result is one that looks natural, not "dental". We plan each case around your face, your skin tone, and what you want to see in the mirror — not a generic template.
Cosmetic treatments we offer
Porcelain veneers
Wafer-thin ceramic shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth. Porcelain veneers are the gold standard for correcting severe discolouration (that doesn't respond to whitening), chipped or worn edges, minor gaps, or teeth that are slightly too small or irregular.
We prepare conservatively — removing only as much enamel as structurally necessary — and work with a skilled dental laboratory to produce a result with depth, translucency, and natural character. Treatment requires two visits approximately one to two weeks apart.
Composite bonding
Composite resin is applied directly to the tooth, sculpted, and polished in a single appointment. No laboratory wait. Bonding is ideal for chipped teeth, small gaps, irregular shapes, or patients who want to see a transformation without committing to porcelain.
Modern composite materials are beautiful and durable. They may need refinishing or replacement after 5–10 years depending on use, but the procedure is minimally invasive and can be revised or removed.
Smile design
For cases involving multiple teeth or a full-smile transformation, we plan digitally before touching a single tooth. You see a preview of the proposed result — shape, shade, proportions — and we discuss adjustments until you're satisfied with the direction. Only then do we begin preparation.
Teeth whitening

Who is a good candidate?
Cosmetic treatment works best when your underlying oral health is good — no active cavities, no gum disease. If we find any issues during your assessment, we treat those first. Rushing into veneers on an unhealthy foundation compromises both aesthetics and longevity.
We'll discuss your goals, timescales, and budget honestly. If a simpler or more conservative option achieves the same result, we'll recommend that first.
