• Metal braces — the most time-tested approach. Highly effective for all levels of complexity, including severe crowding and bite correction. Small, modern brackets are far more comfortable than older designs.
• Ceramic (tooth-coloured) braces — same mechanics as metal braces but with less visible brackets. A popular choice for adults who want effective treatment with a more discreet look.
• Clear aligners (Invisalign and equivalents) — a series of transparent, removable trays that gradually move your teeth. Removable for eating and cleaning. Suitable for mild to moderate corrections and compatible with an active or international lifestyle.

How orthodontic treatment works

2. Diagnostic records — photographs, digital X-rays (OPG and lateral cephalometric), and impressions or digital scans are taken to plan your treatment precisely.
3. Treatment plan and quote — a detailed written plan with a fixed total cost is provided before any treatment begins. No surprises.
4. Active treatment — braces are fitted or aligner trays are delivered. Regular review appointments (every 4–8 weeks) monitor progress and make adjustments.
5. Retention — once active treatment ends, retainers (fixed or removable) prevent teeth from drifting back. Retention is a lifelong commitment to protecting your result.

Orthodontics for adults
