Prosthetic options
- Dental crowns — a cap that covers the entire tooth above the gumline. Used to protect a tooth after root canal treatment, restore a badly broken or decayed tooth, or improve appearance. Available in all-ceramic (most natural-looking), porcelain-fused-to-metal, or full metal for back teeth.
- Dental bridges — a fixed prosthesis that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring to adjacent teeth or implants. Once cemented, a bridge is permanent and not removed for cleaning.
- Full dentures — removable prostheses replacing all teeth in the upper or lower arch. Modern full dentures are thin, well-fitting, and natural-looking.
- Partial dentures — removable prostheses replacing several missing teeth, retained by clasps on remaining natural teeth. An accessible solution when multiple teeth are missing.
